These 0.5mm foam pads help dampen the sound profile of your keyboard by isolating the switch from the PCB. Place these down before inserting switches for a little extra thock. The black PE foam is antistatic, and shouldn't pose any risk to your PCBs. The regular pads maximize dampening surface area, and the hotswap pads have relaxed cutouts to accommodate hotswap sockets.
