PLEASE ADD THIS $0 LAYOUT ITEM TO YOUR CART AS WELL. THIS SO WE KNOW WHICH PCB/PLATE TYPE TO SEND YOU.

Detour is an 11u keyboard with an angled top macro row. The board design was inspired from The Ave keyboard. The layout is based on the QAZ layout by tominabox1 and whydobearsxplod, with inspirations from the vault35 layout from MechVault.

The main idea behind an 11u layout is having everything within reach from the homerow. There is little to no wrist moment needed to reach any of the keys. This is achieved by removing the number row and also some modifiers and symbol keys. These functions are obtained by using QMK features like tap-dance, mod tap and Homerow mods. We have individual 2U and 3U Cherry stabilizers available.

The board can be built with a leaf-spring top mounted plate featuring three different levels of flex, or bottom mounted using the tabs on the PCB. The plate can be excluded from the PCB mounting configuration for a flexy plateless build.

The top row features 4 keys that can be remapped to your liking, a rotary encoder, and an OLED screen that is QMK compatible. A repo with some fun things to put on there will be linked in the near future.

The PCB comes pre-flashed with vial so that the keymap can be changed dynamically to suit the layout to your needs on the go. Extra PCBs (ANSI + Ortho) and plates can be purchased here.

Finally, huge thanks to Nachie for designing, testing, and providing support for this amazing board!

Cerakote Quality Standards

1) The coating may exhibit minor specks inherent in all available colors.

2) Internal surfaces may display a slightly coarser texture compared to external surfaces, or slightly undercoated.

3) Specific colors of Cerakote® may require a thicker application, up to 3 mils (0.07 mm). When two adjacent surfaces feature this increased thickness, it may pose assembly challenges or result in "rub marks." Generally, most available colors can be applied with a thickness of ≤1 mil. It is essential to be aware that without the inclusion of added tolerance in the design of your parts, Cerakote® may potentially interfere. We recommend consulting with your applicator to identify colors that may present issues.

4) The presence of hook marks may be contingent on the fixturing method employed for the parts.
